Imaging tumor biology with radiolabeled antibodies Patrícia M Ribeiro Pereira, Ph D

Dr. Pereira is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Radiology, Washington University School Of Medicine. Before that, she completed a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry, and she was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate in the Department of Radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She was mentored by Dr. Jason Lewis in oncologic molecular imaging. She applied radiolabeled antibodies and small molecules to determine biological mechanisms by which some patients do not respond to and/or develop resistance to cancer therapies.

Learning objectives:

1) Basic principles of immunoPET in oncology with an emphasis on preclinical immunoPET agents that have been translated to the clinics.
2) Possibilities, benefits, and shortcomings of immunoPET for preclinical, clinical, and translational research in oncology.
